Al Maodudi is an Indonesian illustrator and graphic artist as well as the founder and creative director of Shaka Studio based in Yogyakarta. Al Maodudi brings vintage distressed drawings style to every stroke of his work. Poured in digital format, Al Maodudi produces works with rough strokes and color rhythms that tend to be dull. the combination of colors that seem to overlap with each other is done intentionally so that the impression of the re- sulting work resembles a print with the quality of its time.

History:
Growing up in Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, Al Maodudi began his journey to Yogyakarta to continue his educa- tion in the fine arts department at one of Yogyakarta's universities in early 2015. During his study, Al Maodudi learned more knowledge in graphic design, he also built connections, gained more references and relationships. SHAKA is the name of the creative studio founded by Al Maodudi in late 2015. The studio started operations in mid-2017. During his 10 years of work he has worked on illustration design projects both domestically and abroad ranging from well-known brands, companies, music and others. Al Maodudi will take you back in time to old-school printed works ranging from posters, stamps, badges, postcards, matchboxes, to old-school tattoos that are poured in digital format in every stroke of his work.
